The NH ODP has enjoyed a steady increase in Region 1 Pool selections over the past several years, and this total of 14 players represents the highest number of Region 1 Pool selections in NH ODP history (10 players were selected to Region 1 Pools in 2002, which was then the highest total to date). This total also fulfills the NH ODP goal in 2003 of having the the total number of players selected (14) equal at least the total number of teams sponsored (12), although the total falls just short of the goal of having at least one player named from each NH ODP age group. These selections do represent the first time that the NH ODP has fostered multiple selections in several age groups for the Region 1 pools. NH ODP U19 Girl Laura Comeau continues to be selected to the US Soccer U18 Women's National Team pool, and continues to represent the state of New Hampshire well in international competition.
Congratulations to all of these NH ODP Region 1 players; and congratulations to all of this year's NH ODP participants for their growth and development as soccer players, and for representing the NHSA well in Region 1 soccer competition.

Caitlin Mayo has completed 2 seasons at Roger Williams University. Second leading scorer her Freshman Year and leading scorer her Sophomore year. Named to Commonwealth Coast Conference 2nd Team two consecutive years. Named Captain for the upcoming 2006 season.
Congratulations to NH ODP's Robbie Mclarney, who attended the Region 1 1990 Boys Training Camp over Christmas Break, and was selected to take part on the trip to Argentina with the Region 1 1990 Boys Team this spring! Robbie is also just back from Academy Training with the English Premier League Club Newcastle United. Robbie is #15 back row 1st player on left.
NH ODP's Laura Comeau at the March '04 U19 National Team Camp, at US National Team Home Depot Training Center at Chula-Vista, CA, along with US National Team Coaches Jeff Pill (Dunbarton NH native, former NHSA DOC and NH ODP Head Coach, and former Derryfield School Boys Head Coach) and Mark Krikorian (born/raised in Derry NH, former Pinkerton High and St. Anslem's College star, and former Franklin Pierce College Head Coach.
NH ODP U15 goalkeeper John Mayo featured on the cover of the national publication "Soccer America" in the 2004 Camp edition, and also on the cover of "Soccer Plus" publications.
It is with great sadness that the NH ODP announces the following:
Former NH ODP player Brian Hannafin, who played youth soccer for Seacoast United, High School soccer for Londonderry H.S., and collegiate soccer for Plymouth State, died prematurely on Wednesday may 5th, 2004 at the age of 23, from Brain Cancer. The wake for Brian was held on Friday May 7th at Peabody Funeral Home in Londonderry. Condolences can be sent to Brian's familiy, care of Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH 03038.
