NH ODP Parent Administrator Guidelines

The Parent Administrator for ODP teams is an invaluable and increasingly necessary resource for each ODP pool. In general, the role of the Parent Administrator is to handle all administrative duties involved with that team and for the team coaches, and to allow the coaches put their energies into coaching. It is also a great way to be more comprehensively involved in your son/daughter's life! NH ODP Parent Administrators also:

  • will attend all pool training sessions, meetings, matches;
  • will track player attendance at all team events;
  • will be in communication with the coaches;
  • will be in communication with the NH ODP Administrators;
  • will help organize player and parent communication, sometimes communicating with all with last-minute messages (via a phone tree or e-mail distribution list);
  • will help arrange and schedule training facilities;
  • will help advertise pool training sessions as open tryouts in the winter and spring;
  • will help the coach properly register any new players trying out for the pool (including collection of $25 registration fee, and completion of registration forms to be forwarded to the appropriate NH ODP Administrator);
  • will organize all forms, and will track down those players delinquent in processing forms;
  • will collect and keep account of all moneys and fees for the pool, and forward them expediently to the appropriate NH ODP Administrator;
  • will assist pool players who wish to participate with the ODP Fund Raising Program (contact NH ODP Administrators for more information);
  • will help organize matches versus other ODP and NH club teams (including opponents, tournaments, fields, referees etc.);
  • attend all contests and tournaments to which the team travels, and stay with the team in part as a chaperone to the group (particularly to the Region 1 Tournament in June and the Region 1 Camp in July); and will help organize other parents to assist with chaperoning;
  • will help organize equipment and uniforms (arrange for the daily cleaning of uniforms at tournaments); carry a medical kit for emergencies (including ice) to all pool training and matches;
  • will help coordinate travel plans for the team (organize car-pools for long distance travel);
